INTENSIVE EDUCATIONAL TRIP IN SOUTH VIETNAM (7 DAYS 6 NIGHTS)

Day 1: HOME – HCMC – CU CHI TUNNELS (L-D)

Arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, sightseeing tour of Ho Chi Minh City: Visit the War Museum, The Hundred Years Red Cathedral (1880), The Old Post Office (1886) built by the French, the city center, and the Cu Chi tunnels to learn about the Vietnam War history. Dinner cruise on the Saigon River with live show. Overnight in HCMC

Day 2: HCMC – VUNG TAU (B-L-D)

Transfer to Vung Tau coastal city. Stop in Bien Hoa Industrial park to visit a coffee processing company. Visit a rubber plantation in Long Thanh, vegetable garden in Ba Ria. City tour of Vung Tau: Jesus Christ’s Monument overlooking the peninsula, the historic White Palace, the Whale temples.

O/N in Vung Tau

Day 3: VUNG TAU (B-L-D)

Study Bai Dua and Bai Dau beaches to observe, compare the sandy and rocky beaches and look at the diameter and size of the sediments. Students have to pick sediments and collect samples and come up with a chart to show the differences of sediments of the two beaches.

Visit a local seafood factory or visit a fishing village. O/N in Vung Tau

Day 4: VUNG TAU – BINH DUONG – HCMC (B-L-D)

Transfer to Binh Duong, visit a company at the Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park, and a vocational school or college. Overnight in HCMC

Day 5: HCMC – MY THO (B-L-D)

Transfer to My Tho. Stop at a rice field to learn about the local rice cultivation. Visit the colourful Vinh trang pagoda. Get on a boat trip up Mekong River, with stops at an orchard to taste seasonal fruits, enjoy traditional folk songs, sampan ride in palm shading creeks, boating along a small canal to visit a family work shop of making coconut candies and bee farm. Learn about vegetation and agriculture of the area. Overnight in My Tho

Day 6: MY THO – CAI BE – HCMC (B-L-D)

Transfer to Cai Be town on the Upper branch the Mekong River. Boat cruise to Cai Be wholesales floating market which lasts a day long, learn how the local people buy and sell things from boat to boat. Visit local work shops of making fish sauce, cement plates for house constructions, processing rice, making rice products (pop rice, pop corn, rice paper, etc.). Navigate along small canals to see the unique perspective of the local life style, learn water samples, pollution studies and using of data logger to find out the PH and oxygen content and salinity probe. Visit a bonsai garden and a plants nursery. Transfer back to HCMC

Day 7: HCMC – DEPARTURE (B-L)

Enjoy a fantastic rickshaw ride through the hustle and bustle of the city to China town (1 hour). Visit the Thien Hau temple, Binh Tay market. Finally go shopping at the Ben Thanh market. Transfer to the airport for departure
