EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING TRIP TO
VIETNAM (9 Days – 8 Nights)
Day 1: HOME – HCMC (L-D)
Arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, sightseeing
tour of Ho Chi Minh City: Visit the Reunification Hall, the War
Museum, The Hundred Years Red Cathedral (1880), The Old Post
Office (1886) built by the French, the Cu Chi tunnels.
Learn how the Vietnamese people make rice paper cakes and rice
whiskey. Overnight in HCMC
Day 2: HCMC - VISIT SCHOOL – INDUSTRIAL
PARK - HCMC (B/L/D)
Visit a high school in HCMC: make friend with local students,
play local traditional games, sing songs, learn about local
students lifestyle, exchange stories etc
Transfer to Vietnam Singapore
Industrial Park in Binh Duong, visit a successful
Singapore organization to learn about their experience of
living, working and doing business in Vietnam.
Enjoy the unique water puppet show. Overnight in HCMC
Day 3: HCMC – MY THO – HCMC (B-L-D)
Transfer to My Tho. Stop at a rice field to
learn about the local rice cultivation. Visit the colourful Vinh
trang pagoda. Get on a boat trip up Mekong River, with stops at
an orchard to taste seasonal fruits, enjoy traditional folk
songs, sampan ride in palm shading creeks, boating along a small
canal to visit a family work shop of making coconut candies and
bee farm. Learn about vegetation and agriculture of the area.
Dinner cruise with live show on the Saigon River. Overnight in
HCMC
Day 4: HCMC – HA NOI (B/L/D)
Flight to Hanoi, city tour: Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh
Mausoleum & residence, One Pillar Pagoda and the French Square.
Visit Hanoi Foreign Language University for CIP and cultural
exchange. O/N in Hanoi
Day 5: HA NOI – VISIT SCHOOLS (B/L/D)
Visit an orphanage in Hanoi for CIP and cultural exchange. More
city tour: the Temple of Literature (The 1st
University of Vietnam), take a fascinating rickshaw ride through
the hustle and bustle of Hanoi city and walk in the Old Quarter
of the 36 guilds streets. Overnight in Hanoi
Day 6: HA NOI – HALONG BAY – HA NOI – LAO CAI (B/L/D)
proceed to Halong Bay a world natural
heritage since 1994. Stop at Hong Ngoc handicraft center and
Dong Trieu ceramic village. Start a four hours boat ride touring
the Halong Bay viewing multi-shaped rocks and visit the dramatic
Paradise Grotto to learn about limestone cave. Transfer to Hanoi
Railway Station to take a night train to Sa Pa (Lao Cai), 4
berth A/C compartment.
Overnight on the train
Day 7: LAO CAI – MOUNTAIN MARKET – SAPA (B-L-D)
Early arrival in Lao Cai, transfer to a colourful hill tribes’
market of Muong Khuong or Coc Ly or Cao Son. Transfer to Sapa.
Dinner. Overnight in Sapa
Day 8: SAPA – NIGHT TRAIN (B-L-D)
Trekking to villages: Y Lin Ho, Lao Chai, Ta Van of the Black
H’mong and Giay peoples. Transfer back to Lao Cai to board a
night train to Hanoi. Overnight on train
Day 9: HANOI – DEPARTURE (B)
Early morning arrival in Hanoi, go to observe
the Hanoi people doing exercises around the Hoan Kiem lake. Free
and easy. After breakfast, transfer to the airport for flight
home.
